Go ahead to discover our tips to create a warm feeling on a special day.
Tablecloth and napkins
First of all, you should choose the right color scheme for your Valentine’s Table, like red and white, blue and red, blue and white, pink and red.
So, where do we start?
Tablecloth and napkins. The first one will be the backdrop of your dinner. We suggest you choose an elegant tablecloth in plain red or white. What about napkins? If you choose a plain red tablecloth, you can use patterned napkins in different colours. If you choose a plain white tablecloth, you can play with a lot of patterned and plain colours.
Glasses and cutlery
Glasses and stemware distinguish this dinner from your average weeknight meal. So, choosing the right ones is essential. Just remember to make them shiny by using a cloth, then place them on the right side of the plate. If they still look too foggy you should put them in the dishwasher and use salt and rinse: two fundamental ingredients for effective washing.
Plates
If you have chosen a coloured tablecloth, we suggest using white plates with clean lines in order to enhance your food. On the contrary, if you have picked a white tablecloth, you can create contrast with some coloured plates. Otherwise, you can use a white tablecloth, white plates and a colorful placemat to give movement.
Flowers and candles
Elegant candles and flowers can make a real difference. You can adorn your table with classic red roses, or combine them with pink roses and use them as a centerpiece. If you’re not a rose-person, you can go for a single, heady bloom, like a peony, on each plate.
Candles are another item you can’t do without. Their soft light, in fact, helps to create an intimate and romantic atmosphere. We suggest picking odorless candles (their scent shouldn’t cover up the smell of food) and placing them in the center of the table with an elegant candle holder.
Food and Wine
Now that you know how to set a romantic table, it’s time to choose the Menu and the wine. If you don’t know where to start, get inspired by Candy romantic recipes and amaze your loved one.
